FIRST POST.

I am in Kentucky, in the wake of visa angst and frustration, but excited for loaves of bread in the park that will hopefully be in my belly if I can infact obtain my visa. Which I will. Of course I will!

So, let me tell you the story which inspired the name of this blog. When I was 15 I stayed with a family for 2 weeks in Nancy, France as part of an exchange program with my high school. The family had an eight year old boy named Richard. Richard would come into my room with a sly smirk and look around for a couple of minutes. He would then produce a sentence in english (which he was starting to learn at school), usually pertaining to the color of the furniture. The first thing he said was, "The chair is yellow."
